Cottages
The entire complex is proposed by Waterford County Council for protected status because of its architectural and historic importance. The farmhouses date from the 18th century and retain many original features while the Nook is over 400 years old. Tastefully modernized, the Coole also features a heated swimming pool.
Approached by a
secluded, fenced avenue, the Coole includes a detached two bedroomed
bungalow, a one bedroom thatched cottage, a two bedroom thatched cottage,
and two large two bedroom farm houses.The facilities include a heated
swimming pool, laundry room, gardens, and recreational facilities.

The Wendell's Entrance and Farmhouse Gardens
The Wendell is
a traditional Irish two story semi-detached farm house. Over 200 years
old, a sensitive modern refurbishment includes oil fired central heating.
The Wendell features a large living room with an old style open fire
place. This adds both charm and warmth. There is a very spacious kitchen/dining
area on the ground floor. The ground floor also has a large bedroom
(1 double and 1 single bed) with bathroom/toilet (bathroom access is
through main bedroom). Upstairs is a cosy loft style bedroom with 2
single beds. The kitchen is fully furnished and includes a microwave.
Elm
Cottage
The Elm Cottage is the right side of the Wendell/Elm farmhouse.
It's hard to get a decent picture of the Elm, but it is large, bright
and spacious.

The modern kitchen adjoins to the left. The upstairs bedrooms offer
exceptional light.
Elm Cottage is
a traditional semi-detached farm house. Adding character is an entrance
porch with traditional half door and spacious mature gardens. The very
large sitting room and dining area also features a fine sized breakfast
counter with modern kitchen. Wooden flooring throughout.
Upstairs are two
spacious bedrooms (both have 1 double and 1 single bed), and a toilet
and shower. Television, oil fired central heating. The kitchen is fully
furnished and includes a microwave. Sleeps 6. 2 bedrooms, each with
1double bed and 1 single.(Security doors between Elm Cottage and The
Wendell can be unlocked to cater for a large group of people.)

Bramble
Holm
The Bramble Holms' Exterior, Kitchen/Living Area and a Bedroom
Beautiful thatched two bedroomed old style cottage. The traditional
half door entrance was retained when modern plumbing and electricity
were added. Bramble Holm features a large living room, 2 bedrooms, and
tiled bathroom. Television included. The kitchen is fully furnished
and includes a microwave. Sleeps 4. 2 Double beds and a cot.
The Nook
This is a very attractive thatched cottage with half door entrance and
exposed wooden roof beams. There is a kitchen/living area and a bedroom,
and the bathroom has a shower and toilet. Television included. Records
say this house is almost four hundred years old. Again, tastefully modernised.
The kitchen is fully furnished and includes a microwave. Sleeps three.
One Double bed and 1 Single. The Nook represents an exceptional value
for a couple or small family with one child.
Ivy
Cottage
The Ivy Cottage earns its name.
Lovely two bedroomed
modern detached bungalow (single story house) on its own private and
spacious grounds and private garden. It is tastefully decorated and
fully equipped including an open log fireplace. There is a kitchen,
living room, 2 bedrooms, and bathroom. The cottage has lovely views
and a garden. Television included. The kitchen is fully furnished and
includes a microwave. Sleeps 4. 2 Single beds, 1 Double.

Pets
We can make special arrangements for dog owners to stay - just be sure to let us know about your pet before arrival. (Note: for the benefit of other guests, pets are not allowed in the thatched cottages or farmhouses.)
Gardens
Situated on four
acres including an orchard and a two acre field, the Coole has beautiful
mature gardens, and a large area of lawn with many lovely shrubs and
trees. The setting is nothing short of idyllic, and all is available
to guests. The outdoor heated swimming pool is surrounded by a safe
fence, and a beautiful flower garden. The whole complex is a very sheltered,
pleasant, peaceful, and relaxing area.

An outbuilding
serves as a laundry room. A washing machine and dryer are available
for guests' use.
Children
Kids love the Coole.
And we love kids.

What
Does Self Catering Mean?
The house you rent
is yours. Fitted kitchens are provided, with pots and pans, dishes and
cutlery, refrigerator, microwave and stove. All accommodations include
a television. Bed linen is supplied, though guests should bring their
own towels. If needed, towels are available on request. There is ample
parking and a payphone on the premises. Cots (cribs) and baby chairs
are available on request. Responsible baby sitters are available by
arrangement. The whole area is very safe for children and we're way
down a dead end lane that has no traffic except for vacationers at our
cottages.
